How often should you service your air conditioner?

How to do it

Book a tune-up before the hot season, or at least clear leaves and debris from around the outdoor unit and hose the fins gently.

Why it matters

Most AC breakdowns happen on the first hot week, when every technician is busy.

Recommended interval: once a year, per ENERGY STAR (U.S. EPA).
