How often should you change your refrigerator water filter?

Every 6 months (twice a year).

Only some homes need this one. It is optional on the checklist and starts switched off in the tracker.

How to do it

Twist out the old filter, fit the new one, and flush it by running about 4 gallons of water through the dispenser before drinking.

Why it matters

Old filters stop filtering and can slow the ice maker.

Recommended interval: every 6 months, per Whirlpool.
