How often should you lubricate your garage door?

Every 6 months (twice a year).

How to do it

Spray the rollers, hinges and springs with garage door lubricant. Test the auto-reverse by closing the door on a board, which safety regulators suggest doing monthly.

Why it matters

A noisy door is wearing out. A door that does not reverse is a safety hazard.

Recommended interval: every 6 months, per Clopay.
